Flowers on red table

Another 35" by 35" oil painting, Flowers on a red table shows just that. The interest in this piece lays in the way the flowers interact with eachother. Some stand out alone like the dark green seed pod in the center or the anglular lily shaped petals. There is a tension in the balance of the piece as the purple mass of cascading flowers seem to hang heavy; the red blooms counter balance to the right. the rest of the painting echoes away from the flowers, vase and table like ripples in water.
